Group Product Manager — Core Services

The GPM for Core Services manages the product managers responsible for foundational platform capabilities: trading, custody, wallet, identity, and internal tooling. While individual product managers within your group focus on feature-level roadmaps and day-to-day execution, your mandate is to define the overarching vision and long-term strategic direction. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering realities and product-market needs, ensuring that core infrastructure is not just functional, but scalable, resilient, and ready to support the next wave of financial innovation at PDAX.

Key responsibilities

Understand how each of the core services works at a deep level to contribute meaningfully to how they're designed and catch early when a choice made for one service will cause problems

Coordinate with B2C and B2B product managers and commercial stakeholders to determine how Core services can support

requirements

• Set the direction for where Core needs to go, which services need to migrate, which need to scale, and why, based on business needs
• Advocate for reusability over one-off builds and ensure capabilities are designed to solve for the broader platform rather than single-product needs
• Collaborate with Engineering leadership on critical infrastructure and manage trade-offs when prioritizing this work against product feature roadmaps
• Directly manage core PMs with responsibility for goal setting, 1-on-1s, performance management, and scaling the team through hiring
• Drive headcount planning and organizational evolution of the Core Services group in collaboration with the Head of Product
• Raise the bar on product craft across the group, from PRD quality to how well the team handles compliance and risk conversations
• Ensure robust observability is built into every capability and translate data-driven insights into actionable product decisions
• Own post-incident processes and postmortems for the group and hold PMs accountable for compliance and risk posture

About you

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience7+ years in product management, with real ownership of a product line in fintech, crypto/trading, or another regulated space

• Knowledge of Product Management techniques, such as Problem Discovery, Road Mapping, User Story writing, Prioritizing, and Data Analysis and Funnel Optimization
• Has managed product managers before, not just individual contributors, and can hire and coach a team
• Has set the direction for a platform or shared-services roadmap
• Strong understanding of business models, unit economics, and revenue streams, especially within fintech/crypto or trading products

Leadership and People Management Skills

• Confident in verbal and written communication; able to present complex ideas in a clear and structured way
• Shows empathy for user problems and can balance user needs with business and regulatory constraints
• Experienced in Agile Development Process and familiar with Scrum and Kanban methodologies
• Familiarity with Cryptocurrency, Web3, and Trad
• Fi ecosystems and trends; keeps up-to-date with market developments and regulatory changes
• Experience managing enterprise or regulated partners, and exposure to regulatory/compliance processes
• Strong familiarity with cryptocurrency, blockchain, bonds/RWA, and traditional-finance ecosystems
