UI/UX Designer

About the Role

We are seeking a creative and user-centered UI/UX Designer to design intuitive, accessible, and engaging digital experiences for our U.S. Tax & Claims platform. In this role, you will collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Engineers, and Client Success teams to translate complex financial workflows into user-friendly interfaces that improve productivity and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research, interaction design, wireframing, prototyping, and design systems. Experience designing enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, or financial services products is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

User Experience (UX)

• Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, usability testing, and stakeholder workshops to understand user needs, pain points, and business objectives.
• Analyze user behavior and feedback to identify opportunities for improving usability and workflow efficiency.
• Create user personas, journey maps, user flows, and information architecture for complex business applications.
• Design intuitive experiences that simplify tax, claims, and financial services processes while maintaining compliance and accuracy.
• Validate design decisions through usability testing and iterate based on user feedback and data.

User Interface (UI) Design

• Design modern, responsive, and accessible user interfaces for web-based enterprise applications.
• Produce low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes using industry-standard design tools.
• Create visually consistent interfaces that align with established brand guidelines and accessibility standards.
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.

Wireframes & Prototypes

• Develop wireframes that communicate page layouts, navigation, workflows, and interaction patterns.
• Build interactive prototypes to demonstrate user journeys, validate concepts, and gather stakeholder feedback.
• Iterate rapidly on designs throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Present design concepts and rationale to cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.

Design System

• Create, maintain, and evolve a scalable design system that promotes consistency across products.
• Develop reusable UI components, templates, icons, typography, spacing, and visual guidelines.
• Partner with Engineering teams to ensure design components are implemented consistently.
• Promote design best practices and accessibility standards across the organization.

Collaboration

• Work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, QA, and Client Success teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, design reviews, sprint planning, and backlog refinement.
• Balance user needs, technical feasibility, compliance requirements, and business goals when making design decisions.
• Stay current with UX trends, accessibility standards, and emerging design technologies.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in UI/UX Design, Product Design, or Interaction Design.
• Strong portfolio showcasing web or enterprise application design projects from research through final implementation.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
• Experience creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, user flows, and design specifications.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices.
• Experience designing responsive interfaces for desktop and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design principles.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Experience designing SaaS or enterprise software products.
• Experience within financial services, fintech, banking, insurance, tax operations, or claims administration.
• Familiarity with Agile software development environments.
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or front-end development concepts.
• Experience working with design systems and component libraries.
• Knowledge of data visualization and dashboard design.
