About the Role

Agile Tech Ops Inc. is looking for a Senior Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting activities for a portfolio of skilled nursing facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records, supporting monthly and annual close, performing reconciliations, and ensuring accounting activities comply with company policies and healthcare industry practices.

The ideal candidate has strong general ledger experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple entities and strict accounting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for assigned skilled nursing facilities, from transaction review through financial statements.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including accruals, prepaids, intercompany transactions, and variance analysis.
• Prepare and post bi-monthly payroll journal entries covering wages, taxes, benefits, and allocations.
• Record monthly revenue and accounts receivable entries, including bad debt allowances.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, bank accounts, credit cards, AP, and balance sheet accounts.
• Review AP invoices for accurate GL, facility, and department coding and support weekly payment runs.
• Review employee expense reimbursements and corporate credit card transactions for proper documentation and coding.
• Analyze facility-level financial results and investigate unusual variances or outstanding reconciling items.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Support annual financial reviews, independent audits, and cost report submissions.
• Help maintain internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and automation.
• Work closely with Accounting leadership, Staff Accountants, and Support Center personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle GL responsibility.
• Strong experience in month-end/year-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, AP, and payroll accounting.
• Experience handling multiple entities or locations is highly preferred.
• Background in skilled nursing, long-term care, senior living, or healthcare accounting is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement and healthcare cost reporting is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard accounting software.
• Experience with Sage Intacct, Ottimate, Ramp, and Paycor is preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to handle confidential employee and resident information with discretion.
