Maria Health is the Philippines' first and only licensed health insurance aggregator. We serve 250,000+ lives across 700+ companies, partnering with the country's top HMOs. Now we're building our next-generation operations platform — AI-powered, cloud-native, and built to transform benefits administration — and we need an engineer who can own it end to end.

• 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗼
• 🔹 Own the application layer end to end — frontend, backend, and the APIs in between
• 🔹 Turn designs and product requirements into fast, accessible, production-grade interfaces
• 🔹 Build the business rules, integrations, and background jobs that power them
• 🔹 Design database schemas and queries with performance and data integrity in mind
• 🔹 Build features that consume AI outputs and feed data into AI systems
• 🔹 Ship through CI/CD, monitor production, and help set our engineering quality standards
• 🔹 Work closely with our Platform Engineer, AI Engineer, Product Lead, and UX/UI Designer
• 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿
• ✅ 3–5 years shipping and maintaining production full-stack applications
• ✅ Backend: Django, Flask, Fast
• API, or Node.js/Express
• ✅ Frontend: Vue.js or React — component design, state management, accessibility, performance
• ✅ Strong relational database skills: schema design, performant queries, data integrity
• ✅ REST API design: contracts, versioning, error handling, authentication
• ✅ Security-minded thinking about how data is handled, stored, and transmitted
• ✅ Testing and debugging across the stack, from UI to data layer
• ✅ Docker, Git, and clear communication with technical and non-technical teammates

𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀

• ⭐ Python backend experience
• ⭐ GraphQL, CI/CD pipelines, observability tooling
• ⭐ Integrating AI/LLM-powered endpoints
• ⭐ AWS deployment and troubleshooting
• ⭐ Insurance, healthcare, or fintech background
