Tech Lead Infrastructure & Architecture | Remote | Midshift (Project Based)

Job Summary

The Tech Lead Infrastructure & Architecture provides technical direction across infrastructure, cloud, integration, and application architecture. The role defines clear design decisions, safeguards security and other non-functional requirements, and helps engineering teams deliver reliable, scalable, and supportable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and communicate the target architecture for cloud, infrastructure, APIs, integrations, and event-driven solutions.
• Lead architecture reviews and make timely technical decisions across teams.
• Create and maintain architecture decision records, design standards, and reusable patterns.
• Define and validate requirements for security, performance, reliability, scalability, and observability.
• Guide infrastructure-as-code and cloud platform strategies, including Terraform-based delivery.
• Set API and integration governance standards, including security and versioning practices.
• Identify technical risks, resolve cross-team design issues, and serve as the architecture escalation point.
• Coach engineers and ensure architecture decisions are practical, traceable, and implemented consistently.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in enterprise, solution, infrastructure, and integration architecture.
• Proven experience designing event-driven systems and working with event bus technologies.
• Hands-on knowledge of Amazon Web Services and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Strong understanding of API governance, integration patterns, and security controls.
• Experience defining architecture decision records, non-functional requirements, and design patterns.
• Proven technical leadership, stakeholder communication, and decision-making skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ServiceNow integrations and enterprise event platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud security, operational metrics, and observability practices.
• Relevant cloud, architecture, security, or Terraform certification.
• Experience working in an Agile, multi-team delivery environment.
