About the role
Job Summary: We're now accepting applications for a detail-oriented Data Entry and Data Collection VA to broaden the event listings on our events discovery platform for the craft beer industry. You'll review brewery websites and social media pages, capture accurate event information, and log it in our custom admin system. It suits someone meticulous, confident with websites and basic browser tools, and consistent through repetitive tasks. Key Responsibilities: Scan assigned brewery event pages, tour pages, and Instagram and Facebook accounts for new events, tours, and promotions
- Check social media against official event pages to find listings that were never posted on the website
- Record full event details in our custom admin form, including title, description, date, time, location, and links
- Assign each listing the right event type (food, social, tours, specials, and others)
- Build recurring and multi-date events accurately with correct start and end times
- Save event images from Instagram using the browser inspect tool and upload them to the matching listing
- Look up and enter off-site event locations with Google Maps address search
- Attach ticketing links (Eventbrite, Universe, and similar platforms) when applicable
- Follow a consistent review schedule so new events are logged as soon as venues announce them
- Report duplicates, missing information, or inconsistencies and recommend workflow improvements
- Mandatory Skills: Demonstrated experience in data entry and online data collection with a strong accuracy record
- At ease navigating websites, web forms, and admin dashboards
- Basic technical skill with browser inspect/developer tools for finding and downloading images
- Experience collecting information from Instagram and Facebook
- Familiarity with Google Maps for verifying and confirming addresses
- Working knowledge of Slack and email for everyday communication
- Able to configure and use two-factor authentication
- Focused, dependable, and capable of working independently
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Preferred Skills: Experience with event listings, online directories, or calendar management
- History of web research or lead/data collection projects
- Basic image handling skills (downloading, renaming, uploading)
- Ability to juggle multiple sources and projects together
- Proactive outlook and readiness to suggest better methods
- Interest in the craft beer, hospitality, or events scene
